A line by line look at our sacred text from many perspectives. No knowledge of Hebrew is necessary. Participants bring with them an eagerness to understand the Bible in history, as the Rabbis read it, as literature or drama, and what it has to say to us today.

Come join us for some Ivrit (Hebrew). Participants will study prayers from the siddur, as well as Biblical and Modern Hebrew. They will analyze texts and poetry and learn the rudiments of grammar and syntax.

Join us as we study the lives and rulings of some of the most famous personalities in the Talmud. Who were these sages? Why did they reason as they did? We will explore these questions and others as we deepen our understanding of the historical and social context of the Talmud. No previous knowledge of Hebrew or Talmud is necessary.

Me'ah, an intensive two-year adult learning initiative, includes text study, active questioning, community building, and personal enrichment. Registration for the current year is closed.
