We stand as one with the people of Israel. We mourn the tragic loss of life. We pray for a swift resolution to this violence.

Israel Turns 75

Israel Turns 75

As committed Reform Jews, many of us have deeply personal ties to Israel. We acknowledge, though, that at this time, having a meaningful relationship with Israel and all its people can feel increasingly complicated. As we mark the State of Israel’s 75th anniversary this year, Central Synagogue seeks to be your home for thoughtful, challenging, and very personal Israel programming.

You are invited to join us for political conversations, cultural presentations, opportunities to celebrate, and opportunities to reflect. You will hear from Israelis, Palestinians, Central clergy, and experts in the field. Read on to learn more about our wide variety of offerings. We hope to see you there.

Did you miss a program? Watch the recordings on our Israel @ 75 playlist.

"If you care about democratic rights – help preserve the only functional democracy in the Middle East. If you care about those vulnerable – safeguard the sole sanctuary for Jewish refugees in need. If you value Jewish Peoplehood hear the cries of the other half of our Jewish family and remember: that all Am Yisrael is bound, one to the other. This young, messy, miraculous Jewish state is the most important, sovereign democratic project of the Jewish people of the last 2000 years. We cannot walk away." – Rabbi Angela BUchdahl, Erev Rosh HaShanah 5784
